The following points are essential to ensure your job postings are easily found on Google and other search engines. The main goal of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is to make it clear to Google what your page is about. You can do this by using keywords, internal links and technical optimizations. The first step is always to determine the ideal keyword for your page. This is the keyword you want to focus on. Conduct a full keyword analysis using tools such as Google Keyword Planner. For the best case scenario, choose a keyword with sufficient search volume but not too much competition. Once you’ve selected your keyword you can implement the following steps in your CMS or in the Hamilton CMS. Read also our SEO advanced blog.
Een effectieve recruitment website

1_>
Page Title (Title Tag)

  • Maximum of 60 characters (including spaces).
  • Include the chosen keyword in the title, preferably at the beginning.
  • Make sure the title is attractive to candidates: it should invite them to click.

2_>
Headings and Subheadings (H1, H2, H3)

  • Every page should have only one H1 heading (the main title). This must include the keyword.
  • Use H2 and H3 headings to structure the text logically and to include additional keywords and synonyms.
  • Headings should summarize the content of each paragraph making the text easier to scan for both visitors and Google.

3_>
Web Content (Body Text)

  • Use the keyword and synonyms naturally throughout the text.
  • Place the keyword:
  • In the first sentence.,At the beginning of paragraphs and headings.
  • Write for your audience, not just for Google. The text must remain easy and pleasant to read.
  • Incorporate semantic keywords (words closely related to your main keyword) to make the text richer and more relevant.
  • Important keywords can be highlighted using a bold font.

4_>
Meta Description

  • This is the short summary visible in Google search results underneath the title.
  • Maximum of 155 characters (including spaces).
  • Use the keyword and make the text engaging and action-oriented. Give your readers a reason to click.

5_> Image Optimization

  • Always include images for better user experience and SEO.
  • Use keywords in:
  • The file name (e.g. it-jobs.jpg).,The alt text (a description of the image, which also improves accessibility).
  • Images should be relevant and confirm the content.

6_> URL Structure

  • Include the keyword in the URL.
  • Keep URLs short, clear, and logical.
  • Always set up a redirect when changing a URL to avoid broken links (404 pages).

7_> Anchor Texts (Internal Links)

  • Use descriptive text for internal links.
  • Avoid: “click here” or “read more.” Instead, write: “View our IT jobs.”. This helps both visitors and Google understand what the linked page is about.

Extra SEO tips

  • Update regularly: publish blogs, job postings, news, or updates regularly to keep your website up to date in Googles perspective.
  • Internal link structure: connect pages logically with internal links so Google can crawl your site more effectively. It also helps to keep your audience engaged.
  • Consistency: apply SEO practices across every page. This is a sign to Google that each page has been optimized in terms of content and structure.
  • Mobile-friendly: ensure the website works well on mobile. This is a key ranking factor.
  • Page speed: optimize and compress images and use caching to improve site performance.

With following these steps you significantly improve your website visibility. Google will better understand what your pages are about, candidates will find what they’re looking for faster and your chances of ranking higher in search results will increase.
